Following a significant house extension, the clients’ garden was no longer fit for purpose, with a very narrow patio and an unusable slope. They required spaces for dining, relaxing and play areas.
The solution was to break the slope up into three different levels – a larger patio space outside the back door, a grass area for children to play in, and a secluded lounge area with a pergola. A multi-stem tree and evergreen planting provide a year-round vista from the clients’ new bifold doors. A discreetly hidden shed provides storage.
Dividing the garden into separate areas makes the garden feel bigger and provides spaces for everyone in the family to enjoy.
